How To: My Favorite Sugar Cookies

My outfit details: BP sweaterPaige maternity jeans

With Halloween coming up later this month it’s the perfect excuse to bake yummy treats and snack on them all month long 😉 right?! If you’ve followed my blog or Instagram for a while then you probably already know that I have a BIG sweet tooth, especially when it comes to sugar cookies!! I always get so many questions about my sugar cookie recipe (and frosting recipe!!!) so I thought I’d share it again today. This recipe is seriously SO good! We decided to make them yesterday with my sister and all the kids and we had a blast (and probably ate ten too many cookies!). If you love cookies you need to try it and let me know what you think!

Sugar Cookie Recipe:

Cookie Dough:

2 cups butter

6 eggs

2 cups sugar

2 teaspoon vanilla

2 teaspoon almond extract

6 teaspoon baking powder

7 cups flour

Mix wet ingredients with sugar then slowly add baking powder and flour. Mix well (I love to use my Bosch mixer). Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes. Bake for 7 minutes at 375.  (In my oven I only cook them for 6 minutes. I like them to be extra soft!!).

Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe:

1 pound cream cheese

3/4 pound unsalted butter at room temperature

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1 1/2 pounds powdered sugar

    1. I am honestly so obsessed with my Bosch! I used to use a Kitchen Aid until my friend introduced me to the Bosch and now I’ll never go back! It’s just so good, but I did love my Kitchen Aid too. Both do the trick!
