Workout Update

I’m finally sharing a workout update today!! I’ve been getting so many questions about my leg injury from my stress fracture, how I healed, what programs I’ve been doing, how I eased back into my running guide and whether I’m training for any half marathons. So I’m answering all of those questions and MORE in today’s post!! But if you have any questions for me that I don’t answer, feel free to leave in the comments below.

Back in June I had a leg injury that really put a damper on both my half marathon training and my daily workout schedule. When my stress fracture happened I was told I needed to take 6 weeks off to heal, so I took a break from my running guide and decided to start doing PWR and I have LOVED every second of it! I’m currently on week 4 and I’m really liking it, I would highly recommend it! Once the 6 weeks had passed I started my running guide over in preparation for the SeaWheeze Lululemon half marathon coming up in September and it has been going great! We have a girl’s trip planned to Vancouver next month and I’m so excited! 

A lot of you have been asking what my current daily workout schedule looks like so here’s a breakdown of exactly what I do: 

 
Monday: PWR

Tuesday: Running Guide

Wednesday: PWR + sometimes sprints depending on how I’m feeling 

Thursday: Running Guide

Friday: HIGH + PWR

Saturday: long run from my Running Guide

Sunday: Rest

I’ve also been getting a lot of questions about whether I follow a meal plan, and I’m trying to do Fitness Carli’s food plan but I definitely have my bad days. I recently started listening to Body Love by Kelly LeVeque and it has totally changed the way I think about food. I started making the Fab Four Smoothie that the book talks about and between that and running again I have lost 5 pounds! I’m still trying to lose some pregnancy weight (pregnancy totally changes your body!!!), but I’m hopeful that it will come off soon if I stick to this workout schedule and try to do my best to eat and healthy! Consistency is key!

Also, exciting announcement!!! My new GRL PWR tanks are launching in about two weeks!! The first batch sold out within a few hours, so be sure to keep an eye out for these new ones! I’ll be posting about them on my blog and IG and there will be very limited quantities again!

  3. I bought your running guide and also have been reading body Love coincidentally. I’m just curious which smoothie you make and if you follow her eating recommendations throughout the day or mainly at breakfast?
