My outfit details: Sonnet James dress, denim jacket, J.Crew shoes, Sole Society bag, Chloe sunglasses, MAC lipstick

I hope you all had a great weekend. We ran our half marathon and to my surprise actually did better than expected, something that rarely happens but was a good surprise, thanks adrenaline! It’s a little harder to find time to train with two kids, but I was happy with my time and actually beat my goal!

This weekend was also a very tough one for our family. You may have seen this story in the news, but it hit a little closer to home for me. The father of this sweet family is the brother of my brother-in-law, and I had gotten to know him and his lovely wife well over the years. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Life is precious and short. I am thankful for my faith which helps me understand that we will see those that we love again some day.

  1. I am so incredibly sorry for your family’s loss. I live only about an hour from where the accident occurred and heard about it over the weekend. It takes on even more weight, however, as I just learned about the family and that you guys are connected with them. You, and their surviving children and family will be in my prayers!

  4. What a strange world we live in. You express your grief over losing friends in a terrible tragedy, a wee boy is orphaned, and people are commenting on your frock? I’m astonished.
