One of my goals for the New Year is to really take the time to have one-on-one time with each of my kids. Now that I’m a mom of 4 I feel like I’m being pulled in so many directions and can’t keep up with everything all the time! But I’m really excited about this goal and hope it will help me grow and develop my relationship with my kids on a more personal level.
Before the twins came Capri helped me wash and fold all of their clothing and blankets and as cheesy as it sounds we had such a fun, unplanned afternoon bonding and being together!!! We talked about everything that was on her mind from school to dance to what she wanted for Christmas to what the twins would look like and be like. She really has such a creative mind and likes to think outside the box. She is an amazing big sister to Cannon, London and Graden and sets the best example for them to follow (she certainly isn’t perfect so please don’t take it the wrong way, but she tries hard and pushes herself – and she has a heart of gold!!).
One of Capri’s biggest hobbies lately is fashion and shopping!! She may or may not get it from me!! 😉 She loves to pick out her outfits and even help me pick out mine!! Some of my favorite times come from Capri being in my closet picking out outfits to wear for upcoming photoshoots or just out to dinner that night. She has such an eye for what goes together and honestly has some pretty great ideas for a 7 year old!! haha
If you ask her what some of her favorite stores to shop at are she would say: Nordstrom, Peek, Old Navy, Target and any dance store!! But back in November when I was doing some online Christmas shopping (totally saved me this year!!!) I saw this Burberry outfit at Farfetch and I had to get it for her for Christmas! She was SO excited when she opened it and had to try it on right then. It totally fits her bubbly and bright personality!
What are some of your goals for the New Year? I’d love to hear!!
