Does anyone else feel like this summer is going by way too fast?! July is such a busy month for us, and I didn’t want it to end without doing some fun summer activities. So we decided to sit down with the kids and create a family summer bucket list! We compiled all the fun activities they wanted to do before starting school, and it was such a fun process.
We started by sitting down with the kids and asking them what they hoped we would do. I was so surprised at how fast we compiled a list – I guess I didn’t realize how many things the kids planned on doing this summer.
Some of the more obvious ideas came faster – like going to the pool to swim, riding bikes and cooking s’mores. But they sure threw me for a loop when they shouted out, “paint rocks,” and “tie dye t-shirts,” but I love their creativity.
A few other really great ideas were added to the list with a little encouragement, and I think it turned out perfectly. We have a few simple things to do when time is short, and even some longer ones that require a little more planning, but will be more rewarding activities. I am so excited and think it will be the perfect way to finish off this summer.
What’s on your family’s summer bucket list? Let me know in the comments!
