School Lunch Ideas

Lunch Idea #1: Raspberries, blueberries, sliced cucumbers, carrots, celery sticks, hummus, and a hard boiled egg

Lunch Idea #2: Cut up cucumbers and sugar snap peas with ranch, turkey slices, Tilamook cheese squares, pineapple, raspberries

Lunch idea # 3: Cut up honey crisp apples and orange. Blueberries, sugar snap peas with ranch, Turkey hummus wrap, & Justin’s almond butter pouch

With school starting, I have been very conscientious about what types of things I want to put in my kids lunches. We have been trying our best to eat more meals at home and be healthy. And since I don’t like to send my kids to school with chips and fruit snacks, I wanted to come up with 3 new healthy lunch ideas to try.

With that being said, I do think it is important to find balance in all things. So, to not totally restrict my kids from sweets, I like to put a few chocolate chips, some almond butter or a fruit leather in their lunches from time to time.

Also, I am obsessed with this lunch box. It is so conveniently laid out with sections for everything, and keeps it all so cool throughout the day. It might be one of my favorite items we got during our back to school shopping. I also really like to send my kids with a Hydroflask of water so they remember to drink water all day. We love the ones with the straws.

I am always looking for new ideas to switch things up, and would love to hear in the comments below what types of things you like to put in your kids lunches!

  1. Hey! Great ideas!! Quick question: Does the ranch dressing stay in that little space?!? Im nervous its going to leak out Onto EVERYTHING else!!

  2. Great ideas, thank you for sharing. We use the thermos 10 oz Insulated funtainer food jars to switcH up a hot lunch midweek. We’ll heat the Funtainer in the morning with boiling water, dry it out, and then place a hot lunch (mac and cheese, spaGhetti, chicken nuggeTs, etc) Once cooked. A friend recommended it, and it’s been such a great way to switch up The Monotony of cold lunches. Thanks again, i love your conTent!
