No Bake PB Energy Bites

I always get excited when I find a new recipe for a healthy snack, and these protein balls are no exception. My kids and I love them as a quick grab and go snack. The best part is, they are so easy to make and kids love to help me!

They are packed full of healthy ingredients, yet satisfy that sweet tooth. Go give them a try and let me know what you think! 

No Bake PB Energy Bites: 

  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2/3 cup Peanut butter, creamy
  • 1 cup Oats, old fashioned
  • 1/4 cup Dark or semi sweet chocolate chips 
  • 1/4 cup Flax seed, ground

In a medium bowl combine the oats, flax seed, peanut butter, honey, and chocolate chips (I chose to melt my chocolate chips and dip at the end).

Stir to combine.

Using a small cookie scoop portion out the dough into 1-2 inch size balls (you can also just use your hands to form the balls if you don’t have a cookie scoop).

Place the balls on a baking sheet or plate, then set in the refrigerator or freezer to set


  1. sounds delicious! i bet my daughter would love making these together. do you usually keep these in the fridge? and if so do you know how long they keep?

  2. I made these primarily for my 14 year old son that is a competitive swimmer. He is so trim and needs a quick bite before two hours of swimming. I have not convinced him to try them, but I love them. My first bite was a bit too much of peanut butter, but I added some oatmeal. maybe a fourth of a cup. I just put the chocolate chips in and did not melt them.
    I love these. I found myself looking forward to one a day.
