Chicken Wild Rice Soup

I don’t know what it is about soup and fall, but they just go together so well. One of my absolute favorite soups is this amazing Wild Rice Chicken recipe that my dear friend gave me. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water because it is SO GOOD!

It’s a perfect meal for when that cooler weather rolls in, and you just want to stay in and get cozy. It’s a good hearty and filling soup that is sure to warm your soul even on the coldest day, so you definitely need to give it a try. ​​

Chicken Wild Rice Soup


1 package Rice-A-Roni Long Grain & Wild Rice Mix

1 ¼ cup water

1 chicken bullion cube

½ cup celery chopped

½ cup carrots chopped

½ cup onion chopped 

¼ cup butter

¼ cup flour

1 cup cream

3 cups chicken broth

6 chicken tenders or 3 chicken breasts

Olive oil 2-3 tbs


Empty contents of Rice-A-Roni Long Grain & Wild Rice Mix including the glacier packet with water into a baking dish and bake at 325 for 30-40 min. 

In a pan heat oil and add bite size pieces of chicken and cook thoroughly

In a separate large pan heat butter and saute veggies. Add flour to pan

Slowly add chicken broth and blend until smooth. Add cream, bullion, rice, and chicken. 

Simmer for 4-6 minutes to allow flavors to combine
