Happy Friday! I have another delicious Thanksgiving side dish idea for you today. I know what you’re thinking – “raspberry pretzel jello? Weird…” Don’t let the name or idea of it fool you, it is so amazing and you are going to be hooked. The salty/sweet combo is so yummy and every time I bring this dessert somewhere, it is a huge hit!
Here’s the recipe:
2-1/2 cups thin stix pretzels – break in 1 inch or smaller pieces (do not crush)
1-1/2 sq. margarine – melt and combine with pretzels
Pat into 9 X 13 pan – bake for 10 min.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine 8 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cup powdered super
Beat with mixer – add 9 oz. cool whip – beat again
Drop big spoonfuls on top of pretzels – spread and cover to edges – chill
Dissolve large raspberry jello in 2 cups boiling water (let cool to at least room temp first) – add 2 boxes frozen raspberries (have to be forzen, this is KEY) not drained. Cool and pour on top – chill until set
