Happy Wednesday All! As most of you know I recently moved out of my house and we are in the process of building a new one that we are super excited about. As we are in the design process of this new home I can’t help but reminisce about my old home and how much we loved it. I thought it would be fun to take a walk down memory lane and reminisce about some of the rooms from our home.
The first room I wanted to share is the kitchen. The kitchen to me is the heart of our home and I think the heart of most people’s homes. This is where we come to gather together as a family. We eat meals together, we have family parties in here, my kids do there homework, we make cookies together and memories are formed one after the other. As we design our new kitchen I love how this one was so big and could easily fit a lot of people. It was really open and connected to the family room so it was great space for entertaining and gatherings.

Here is Capri’s room. We had so much fun designing this space for her and I loved the whites, soft pinks and gold tones we used in here. It felt very girly with out being over kill and was a room that could easily grow with her as she grew. Capri and I are looking forward to designing her new room together.

Ahh the twins nursery. I remember bringing these two sweet babies home to this room. When we moved, I looked into this empty space I couldn’t help but get a little emotional thinking of leaving the only home the twins ever knew and all the tender memories that took place in this room. All the snuggles, late nights and early mornings, listening through their monitor to them as they talked to each other while they fell asleep and then as they awoke with their cute little voices. Now they are growing so quickly that I am excited to design a new space for the two of them that will fit this stage of life they are in and will grow with them.

Now onto one of the really fun rooms, the closet! I loved designing this room with Alice Lane. This closet also included a space for my office which was great because I was able to gather a lot of inspiration for projects I was working on as well as a quite space away from the daily chaos. I loved how I had plenty of room for all my clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry and all other accessories. I was always able to see what I had and didn’t have to worry about packing things away for each season. I can’t wait to design another amazing closet for hopefully our forever home!

I hope you enjoyed this walk down memory lane with me and stay tuned for a glimpse into the design process of our new home. We are so excited and can’t wait!
What about caNnon’s room?

The house is gorgeous! How did you find such an incredible home? Suggest the Name of your Realtor! The kitchen has a huge table. Why so big? Do you have a lot of people in your family? Tell me what is the floor in the attic made of? It looks like it is concrete, but it looks like a tree to me. Is it on purpose or is it a natural look? Like cracked paint. I really like this wood finish. But as a floor covering, I meet for the first time! Thank you for sharing your opinion!
